SENIOR CVE SEAT STRUCTURES ENGINEER
Location: Hamburg, Germany
Job Type: Contract
Bostonair is recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace engineering organisation for an experienced Senior CVE Seat Structures Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering major commercial aircraft modification programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aerospace structures engineer with a strong background in aircraft interiors, structural certification and EASA compliance. You'll play a key role in delivering innovative cabin modification projects, working alongside international engineering teams to support the certification and integration of aircraft seating and cabin interior installations.
THE ROLE
As a Senior CVE Seat Structures Engineer, you will be responsible for leading structural certification activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across a range of commercial aircraft modification programmes.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading structural certification activities for aircraft modification projects.
• Preparing, reviewing and approving structural substantiation reports and certification documentation.
• Supporting the certification and integration of aircraft seating installations.
• Certifying and integrating cabin monuments and interior furnishings, including galleys, lavatories, class dividers, first-class suites and VVIP cabin interiors.
• Assessing cabin interior modifications, including Layout of Passenger Accommodations (LOPA), Passenger Service Unit (PSU) layouts and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) installations.
• Carrying out and reviewing structural analyses using hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Developing practical engineering solutions to complex structural and certification challenges.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across international locations.
• Promoting the highest standards of engineering quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of eight years' experience within the aerospace industry.
• Current or recent experience working within an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (or equivalent).
• Recent experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) within a Design Organisation Approval (DOA) environment.
• Strong experience in aircraft interiors and/or primary aircraft structures.
• Proven expertise in structural substantiation, stress analysis, hand calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and technical report writing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of EASA certification requirements, including CS-25, FAR 25, JAR-25 and (E)TSO standards.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
