Production Director

Copello are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Director to lead a dynamic team in the production of new build aircraft, parts, and associated engineering support activities for a Aircraft manufacturer based on the South Coast. This pivotal role requires a committed leader with a vision for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and a clear focus on customer satisfaction.

As Production Director, you will provide ongoing leadership and oversight of all production projects for new build aircraft and parts. You will ensure compliance with all regulatory approvals and maintain adherence to industry standards and best practices. The Production Director will develop and implement new production processes, procedures, and solutions for efficient and productive manufacturing and be on hand to manage, mentor, and develop the production team responsible for new aircraft build, parts manufacturing, and engineering support activities You will be expected to foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work culture that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning.

Candidates will be expected to work closely with the team to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met, delivering a world class product to market. The Production Director is likely to have experience of working within a manufacturing environment within the Aerospace industry and will be familiar with all CAA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Project Management qualification

• College Degree or similar level of education

• Significant manufacturing experience, ideally including low volume, low tech, high skill manufacturing operations

• Operating in a Part 21 environment

• Aerospace industry experience

Reporting directly to the CEO this is a pivotal role within the future of the organisation and will work at executive level to help drive and deliver the key strategic and operational objectives of the business.
