MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN / MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR

We are currently looking for experienced Mechanical Technicians and Mechanical Supervisors to join an established UK defence and aerospace maintenance organisation, supporting aircraft maintenance and MRO activities across key programmes.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out aircraft maintenance, including assembly, disassembly, modification and repair of aircraft systems, structures and components.

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic systems.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals and approved technical data.

• Ensure work is completed safely, to schedule and in line with UK MAA MRP Part 145 requirements.

• For Supervisors, coordinate and sequence workloads, provide technical guidance and oversee the maintenance team.

• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and first-time performance.

• Identify and report safety, quality or technical issues and support continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

• Recognised aircraft maintenance apprenticeship or relevant technical training.

• Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, either commercial or defence.

• Supervisory or team leadership experience for Supervisor positions.

• Good understanding of aircraft maintenance practices and aviation safety requirements.

• Experience with Human Factors, FOD, tool control, Health & Safety and COSHH.

• Ability to understand and work from technical documentation.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

• Right to work in the UK.

• Relevant aircraft maintenance experience and qualifications.

• Supervisory/team leadership experience for Supervisor positions.
