Our client is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join their team at RAF St Athan, near Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic aviation environment supporting critical defence operations while developing your career.

The Role

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering airworthy and serviceable aircraft in a fast-paced operational environment. Your technical expertise and leadership will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance activities to meet contractual requirements.

Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and company approvals.

Work closely with a multi-disciplined team and military personnel to deliver safe, serviceable aircraft.

Supervise and support team members while promoting a strong safety culture.

Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and operational performance.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) based on site at RAF St Athan.

Essential Experience

Strong technical knowledge of aircraft engineering.

Good understanding of customer and contract delivery.

Previous supervisory experience within a Civil or Military aviation environment.

Ability to demonstrate the required practical and theoretical engineering standards.

Full UK driving licence.

Essential Qualifications

EASA Part-66 B1.2 Licence.

Desirable Type rating on Grob 115E aircraft and Lycoming 360 engines.

B3 Licence.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate must be a sole UK national and be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC), Counter Terrorist Check (CTC), and DBS clearance.

Please note that this role is subject to UK national security and Trade Control restrictions. Eligibility may be affected by nationality, citizenship, or residency status.
