Job description

AVIONIC TECHNICIAN / AVIONIC SUPERVISOR

We are currently looking for experienced Avionic Technicians and Avionic Supervisors to join an established UK defence and aerospace maintenance organisation, supporting aircraft maintenance and MRO activities across key programmes.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out aircraft maintenance, including assembly, disassembly, modification and repair of avionic systems and components.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and aircraft avionic systems.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals and approved technical data.

• Complete maintenance tasks in line with UK MAA MRP Part 145 requirements and approved procedures.

• Ensure work is correctly recorded and certified in line with relevant authorisations.

• For Supervisors, coordinate and sequence workloads, provide technical guidance and oversee the avionic maintenance team.

• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and first-time performance.

• Identify and report safety, quality or technical issues and support continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

• Recognised avionics/electrical apprenticeship or relevant technical training.

• Previous experience in aircraft avionics maintenance, either commercial or defence.

• Supervisory or team leadership experience for Supervisor positions.

• Good understanding of aircraft electrical, electronic and avionic systems.

• Experience with Human Factors, FOD, tool control, Health & Safety and COSHH.

• Ability to understand and work from technical documentation.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

• Right to work in the UK.

• Relevant avionics/electrical aircraft maintenance experience and qualifications.

• Supervisory/team leadership experience for Supervisor positions.
