Gerald Gitau Njenga is an aviation safety professional and aerospace engineer based in Nairobi, Kenya, with expertise in safety management systems, aircraft maintenance, and aeronautical engineering. He holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Shenyang Aerospace University, where his research focused on graphene nanocomposites, as well as a Bachelor's Science in Aeronautical Engineering (Flight Vehicle Design) from the same institution, and a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Airframe and Power Plant) from Kenya Aeronautical College. Currently serving as a Safety Officer at Kasas Limited, Gerald conducts safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and ensures regulatory compliance with civil aviation standards. His hands-on experience as an Aircraft Technician includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Dornier 228 series aircraft, TPE331 engine installation, and wheels and brakes shop duties. He has also completed internships maintaining DHC-8, DHC-6 Twin Otter, Cessna Caravan 208B,206, 172 and CRJ 100 aircraft. Gerald holds certifications in Safety Management Systems (SMS), AVSEC, aircraft towing, and first aid. He is fluent in English, Kiswahili, and elementary Chinese.
